Button says whaaaat!?

So today Kyra and I went to a birthday party for one of her daycare friends, held at a local science museum. It was fun..the exhibits were a little over the kids heads (they ranged in ages 18 months to 5 years) but between the water room exhibit, the burping exhibit and the fossil digging project the kids had a really good time.

Now any of you who know me, will already know that I can have a juvenile sense of humor and can crack myself up completely, it doesn't take much sometimes.

Before I explain the signs below I will tell you that the whole theme of the main part of the museum was the human body. It really was pretty cool, they explained EVERYTHING so kids could understand what happens when we eat, get sick, why we burp etc.

So at one exhibit was this sign....

Okay. This particular exhibit was one that explained smells. It actually made the smells so you could sniff them ( and no I did not...none of them were anything that I would want to smell on purpose) but what really struck me funny was on the row of buttons to push to make a scent come out  was this button  ...

WHAAAT!!!???
Okay..it STILL makes me giggle just thinking of it. Yes I understand they are trying to help kids understand the human body, and that of course is one of the major outlets...but come on!
Don't tell me you don't think that's funny!
So of course I took a picture of it with my phone, giggling hysterically the whole time, it's just who I am. I didn't see anyone else taking pictures, so maybe it IS just me.
I don't know...but it will have me giggling for a while to come.

  1. Well, I guess I'm even more juvenile than you, because I *so* would have pushed the button. And possible had someone take a picture of me pushing and/or my reaction. But you know, I am surrounded by 6-8 year olds everyday, so I don't know what adult humor is like.

  2. Can you imagine taking a whole class of 6-8 year olds in there?!
I am not sure why there wasn't more reaction to some of the exhibits, except mabye because most of the kids were there with just their parents, and the birthday parties were all younger kids.
I wish I would have taken a picture of the whole set up...but I was with another parent and I didn't want to embarass her (more then she already was anyway) by flashing away with my camera phone.
