ahhh chocolate
a girls best friend!
Really though I am not a huge fan of chocolate, I am not saying I don't like it, just that for the most part I can take it or leave it.
But,
lately I have been craving it (just the last two days really) so lucky for me our neighbor gave me an excuse to make these cupcakes...Triple Fudge with chocolate peanut butter frosting.
YUM!
Really....they taste as awesome as they sound (if you are into chocolate and peanut butter, which my daughter is NOT.. she took a big bite then stood there with her mouth open and looked at me and said "mommy these taste like peanut butter!"
I told her it was only a little added to the frosting, but she spit out her bite in the trash then went and handed the rest of her cupcake to her dad saying "here daddy.. you been good today, have another one".)
Anyway..
our neighbor came down and cleared out our driveway with his snowplow while we were at work yesterday..which was wonderful because there was close to a foot of heavy wet snow covering it.
So I made the cupcakes and sent my husband over with a plate...
Then today I am searching in a local store that is kind of like an upscale 5 and dime ( I have no idea of how to describe it) for a birthday present for a friend that is hard to buy for.
After finding a couple things for her I see these candy bars on a shelf, there is six or seven different kinds sitting there. So I pick out one for her that has coffee beans in it and on a whim I get this one for myself....
WOW!
I spent $3.99 on it...and it was worth every penny!
Delicious
creamy
a little salty
lots of almonds
delightful
So that brings me to end of my chocolate obsession for now.
At least I know where to go next time I need a chocolate fix.
And if you are ever tempted to add peanut butter to your chocolate frosting just because it sounds good...do it..
you wont be sorry.
