I did none of that, instead I played around on my blog, surfed the web and helped Kyra pickup some of her toys...then got a massive headache. Lucky for me I was able to talk Kyra into taking a nap and we slept until Bill came home, well..she slept until then... I continued on for another 2 hours.
By the time I made myself get out of bed Bill was prepping dinner and here Kyra and I are both in our pj's..it's 3:30 by now.
Bill keeps hovering around the door in the computer room, asking about the weather..then finally grabs my hand and takes me to the living room and tells me to sit down and cover my eyes..so I do.
He then hands me a Birthday card and says he knows it is early but my present won't keep until then.
I'm still confused because the card while super cute was empty. Hmm...
So I told him I don't get it? was there something in the card I missed?
He tells me to close my eyes again...then leaves the room and comes back, while standing in front of me he waves a plastic bag??????
It said Olympus on the front....I sat there with my mouth open until he dropped it in my lap...
this is what it was
(insert angels singing in back ground and a blinding halo around the camera)
Holy crap!
It is the coveted D90 from two posts ago...and the lens!!!
I didn't know what to say
or do.
I sat there with mascara under my eyes and my hair going every which way, still in my pajamas with this camera I have been longing to own for years.
I was overwhelmed.
I wanted to leap up and give my husband a hug but I was afraid to move camera off my lap.
so I sat there for a few minutes as we talked about how he got it...(ironically it is the very same camera I had tested my lenses on the day before yesterday).
It was the last one left and the sale, which really was a good deal, was going to end that day.
What could he do but buy it...
Wow...I love him!
As I fiddled with the lens and took a couple pictures he left me to my petting of the camera with the parting words..
"Well at least know you know if the pictures suck it's won't be the cameras fault"
Congrats! Does you new "baby" have a name? :-)
